Productive Marathon!

It is about an hour past when I should be going to bed and I still have three things left to complete.  I think that means that exercising has officially gone out the window!  I did really good though today.  I accomplished way more today than the last two weeks combined.  I can't think of any specific moment that made me happy in the past 24 hours.  I am just generally happy today!

Deliciousness

I am not feeling well today.  I am fighting a cold.  It thinks it has me but I am doing my best to fight it off.  Unfortunately, I did not feel well enough to attend my aunt's birthday lunch.  I, instead, read a book in bed for most of the day.  It was about 4 o'clock when the door bell rang.  My mom brought me a container of the lunch that I had missed.  It was so nice and I was so happy that they thought of me.  It was a wonderful roast beef dinner.  Thanks to my Aunt who had a birthday and a Mom who brought me deliciousness!

Sledding

I went sledding today!  It was great to act like a kid and enjoy the snow!

 

 

 

 

Let it snow ...

My brother and I decided that we needed a video game day.  We found out early in the day that there were other jobs that must be finished before the video game day could happen.  It wasn't until the evening that we were finally able to sit down to play.  He turned on the Wii.  I turned on the fireplace, grabbed a blanket and half watched him play his game.  The snow was falling so gently outside.  It was a perfect winter moment.  Safe, cozy and warm enjoying video games and reading books while the snow continued to fall.

When I Grow Up ...

When I was growing up I would love to imagine what my life would be like once I was an adult. I wondered about where I would live, what my house would look like and what my family would be like. I would talk about these things with my cousin and we would imagine our lives together. Today, I got to go visit my cousin's new house. She is recently married and lives in a house with her husband. It was so neat to see where she lives, how she decorated and what it all looks like. She even made dinner for all of us like we were adults or something.  It was a great moment!

Sparkling Clean!

I know this might sound strange but I sometimes find happiness while cleaning.  I make a list of things to do, put some music on and then get working.  I am not sure if I actually like the cleaning part, the feeling of being productive or watching the process of messy to clean. 

I do love before and after pictures or shows like Hoarders.  I get really stressed out during the messy phase of the show and then feel really great once it is all clean.  That leads me to believe that perhaps I like the process or the feeling of being productive and not the actual cleaning part.

I, typically, do all my cleaning before January 1st so it is all ready for the new year.  That didn't quite happen this year.  I feel like January 2nd is close enough so I scrubbed, cleaned, repacked and organised.  My world feels a lot more at peace and ready to take on 2013!

What could be a better moment than the first day of the new year.  I love new beginnings!  It is a chance to start everything fresh, bright and clean.  New goals, New dreams, and New Adventures!
