Thundersnow in January

I always knew it was possible but to my knowledge I have never experienced a thunderstorm in January until early Sunday morning.  I was fast asleep and was violently woken up by the sound of thunder, the crack of lightening and the howling of the wind.  The house was shaking so much that I was actually really concerned for the first couple minutes.  While being woken up by a thunderstorm in the middle of the night isn't really a happy moment the idea of a thunderstorm in January is a delightful idea.
